We are excited to offer this
service in a sterile and relaxing environment at the spa!! A unique experience,
much different than that of a tattoo parlor. Gary uses the most up to date
equipment at the highest level of sanitation. He takes his time with each client
and is completely dedicated to his work.

Hello my name is Gary Reising, have
been professionally tattooing since 1993. Graduated from Central Bucks East High
School & Middle Bucks Vocational Technical School in 1990 with honors in Art and
received the award for most outstanding student of the year, my senior year.
After high school moved to North Carolina to help my cousin design backdrops for
his band that toured local bars and clubs. Received my first tattoo while living
there. While looking through my sketchbook to pick out something to get, the
owner of the shop approached me and asked if I had a desire to learn the craft
and the industry. Ah yes... I caught a break. Took to it quite well and while at
first was intimidated, as time went on, my skills started to fall into place.
Completed my apprenticeship in North Carolina at Warlocks Southern Dragon
Tattooing.
A business opportunity forced a
geographical change and thus moved Florida to follow a business venture relating
to my airbrush art skills, helping to design and paint fishing lures cast from
live bait. The fishing industry is huge in Florida. Challenging it was, the
lifestyle and culture of south Miami is quite demanding. After a season
realizing if I wanted to open my own tattoo shop someday, had better focus my
energies towards that dream.
Moved back to PA and enrolled in the Philadelphia Institute of Art. Extensively
studied color theory, perspective, human anatomy/portraits, as well as design
structure. While the courses of study were broad and informative, progressed to
the point where I was teaching other classmates as much as the teachers were.
Once I had a taste of tattooing, I knew it was my calling. The classes did help
me to polish my skills a bit more and I apply them to tattooing. Upon leaving
the Philadelphia Institute of Art was able to find a home at Enchanted
Expressions Tattoo for 5 years. Eventually broke off and started operating my
own studio, commissioned to do custom tattoos, drawings, paintings, murals, and
automotive paintwork (graphics on bikes and cars).
Relying on word of mouth for new clients and let my work speak for itself. Very
detailed orientated, and use only the best equipment / machines, and pigments
available. Utilize pre-sterilized blister packaged disposable tubes and needles.
My customers health is always my highest priority. Have been trained in cross
contamination prevention and take my responsibility very seriously. When you
choose an artist to perform your tattoo, they have to be clean and careful to
keep a barrier between everything they touch, and everything gets disposed of
properly. Every client receives a fresh clean sterile set-up. Will be available
for consultations and appointments, please schedule these with Prodigo.
Specializing in cover-ups and re
working older tattoos that people like, but could use some touch up or
re-working. I am a true artist and can develop images from a description or
references you bring in. Each tattoo created is a one off (no flash sheets). In
my mind, the worst thing would be for you to love your tattoo only to one day be
walking in the mall and see the exact same one on someone else. Tattooing is a
form of personal expression. Express your personality, don't conform to an image
and make yourself feel that way. Push the envelope!
Prodigo has brought in an artist that can service their existing clients in a
way that you will not get from a "typical" tattoo shop. It's a much more
personal, relaxed, no stress environment. No over booked appointments where your
artist has to rush to get onto the next one, it’s a perfect match. We will do
our best to make your tattoo experience the best around.
Skill isn't cheap. We will work with
you on the pricing of every piece. Each piece is priced differently depending on
size and detail. Some locations on the body are more difficult to tattoo
properly and thus more skill is required. Portraits are welcome but they can be
expensive, very few people can do them well. It's been my experience that
nothing else I spend my money on will last as long as a properly administered
and taken care of tattoo.
With that said it is an art form and variations are to be expected. We are
working on a living canvas. My best customer is an educated customer. Tattoos
that you see in magazines don't really look that way on the skin. The pictures
are glossy and misrepresent the actual look of a finished piece. There are no
clear coats on a tattoo, but there are several very good moisturizers on the
market that will enhance the colors, making them feel brighter. We are all
living in a (flat paint) body if you will...
Please call or stop by, will be there a few days a week to start out and would
be happy to sit and talk about your design. Weather it is a small single tattoo
or a more extensive sleeve or back piece, we can review the design and color
options; there are also U.V Reactive Pigments available that glow under
blacklite. The U.V. pigments are seen under normal light, they "Glow" react
under blacklite... there is a clear pigment that will only show up under
blacklite, and cannot be seen at ALL under normal spectrum lights. It’s really
cool…
Thank you in advance and looking forward to meeting you. Each customer will be
required to have a photo I.D. showing age. Minimum age for tattooing is 18. If
you're under 18 and want to get work done, please make sure your parent/guardian
are in agreement. They will be required to be there in person with a photo I.D.
No exceptions… Photo I.D. is required for all procedures…
You will leave with a care
instruction sheet clearly listing the instructions to follow to properly care
for your new work of art.
Respectfully,
Gary Reising
